As Randolph County positions itself as a leader in alternative fuels, wind energy is set to become a visible factor of the county landscape by 2010. A handful of electric companies have visited Randolph County and its landowners in search of suitable land to construct turbines to produce wind energy. The basic scenario is that landowners will sign a 20-year contract lease for a wind turbine to be constructed on their land. Wind Energy Services focuses on three areas of the wind industry.
We install instruments for wind assessment. This includes tilt-up Met Towers, permanent Met Tower, permanent Met Towers and installation of assessment instruments on existing telecom towers.
We install medium to large turbines. Our most recent installation can be viewed at http://www.thetimefactory.com/windturbine.html. The installation of a turbine falls in line with our background in telecom where we have successfully completed over 650 raw land and collocate cell site projects.
We provide Safety Training services for the Wind Industry. Training includes classroom OSHA compliance training, Site Compliance Audits and Safety Climb System installations.
